Bella is a butterfly with golden-orange wings edged in warm amber markings, and she loves to explore the sunny meadow she calls home. One day, tired from her wanderings, she rests beside an old tree and wakes to find new amber lines sparkling on her wings. When she brings them to Orin, a wise old moth with round spectacles, he explains that the markings form a map to a forgotten butterfly sanctuary. He gives her a tiny woven leaf satchel and one piece of advice: important messages deserve careful attention.
Following the amber path, Bella meets Pip, a little blue butterfly with white spots who has been puzzling over the same map, and Mara, a purple-winged butterfly whose scattered colony has lost its way. Together they trace each clue through the forest, gather lost butterflies huddled in a hollow log, and learn that the map grows as they travel, revealing the next part of the path only when they look closely. Their journey ends at a giant oak where a spider's web blocks the entrance, and Bella discovers that asking politely for help can open the way.
The story is a gentle tale for young readers about patience, observation, and teamwork. It shows how paying close attention to small details can guide a whole group, and how sharing what you know with others turns a single butterfly's discovery into a rescue for many. Parents and teachers looking for a calm, warmly illustrated read-aloud about friendship and careful listening will find it here.

The Amber Butterfly Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN
In a sunny meadow, Bella the butterfly danced on the breeze. Her golden-orange wings shimmered, and along the edges, warm amber markings glowed faintly. She had large round dark brown eyes and tiny curled antennae. Bella loved to explore, but today she felt tired. She floated down to rest beside an old, old tree. 1
As Bella rested, the tree's bark felt warm and smooth. She closed her eyes and listened to the leaves whisper. When she woke, something strange had happened. New amber markings sparkled on her wings, like tiny glowing lines. Bella turned this way and that, trying to see them better. They looked like a pattern she had never noticed before. 2
Bella flew to find her friend Orin, the wise old moth. Orin had dusty grey-brown wings with pale silver streaks and round spectacles on his face. He peered at Bella's wings and hummed softly. 'Those amber markings are a map,' he said. 'A map to a forgotten butterfly sanctuary. But you must pay careful attention, for important messages deserve it.' 3
Bella's heart fluttered with excitement. 'A sanctuary? Where?' she asked. Orin pointed a feathery antenna at the lines. 'The map has clues,' he said. 'Follow the amber path. It will lead you through the forest.' He gave her a tiny woven leaf satchel with a kind smile. 'Take this. You might need it.' Bella promised to be careful and set off. 4
The first clue was a curvy line that looked like a river. Bella flew low over a bubbling stream. There, on a smooth stone, she saw the same amber pattern. A little blue butterfly with white spots was trying to read it. 'Hello!' said Bella. 'I'm Bella. Do you need help?' The little butterfly grinned. 'I'm Pip! I've been trying to figure out this map for ages!' 5
Pip had bright sky-blue wings with white spots and big sparkling green eyes. A small red berry hung from a grass thread around her neck. 'It's my lucky charm,' she said. Bella showed Pip her wing map. 'Look, the lines match!' Pip's eyes widened. 'We can follow them together!' They studied the map carefully, tracing the amber clues with their antennae. 6
The next clue was a spiral shape. It led them to a circle of tall mushrooms. In the middle sat a butterfly with deep purple wings and golden trim. Her name was Mara, and she wore a necklace with a tiny amber stone. 'I've been waiting for someone to read the map,' Mara said. 'My colony is scattered. We lost our way to the sanctuary.' 7
Bella showed Mara the amber markings. Mara nodded. 'I know this path,' she said. 'But we must hurry before the sun sets.' Pip spotted another clue: a star-shaped mark on a leaf. 'This way!' she cheered. They flew through the forest, following the amber lines. Bella checked each clue carefully, making sure they didn't miss a single one. 8
The map led them to a hollow log where a group of butterflies huddled together. Their wings were pale and dusty. 'We've been lost for days,' one said. Mara spoke gently. 'Follow us. We know the way.' Bella showed them her wing map. The butterflies' eyes lit up with hope. Together, they all flew on, a growing line of colorful wings. 9
As they traveled, Bella noticed more amber markings appearing on her wings. Each new mark showed the next part of the path. 'The map is growing!' Pip exclaimed. Bella remembered Orin's words: important messages deserve careful attention. She studied every mark, every curve, and led her friends through the forest with care. 10
Suddenly, the amber lines on Bella's wings began to glow brighter. They pulsed like a heartbeat. 'What's happening?' Mara asked. Bella closed her eyes and listened. She heard a soft whisper in the wind. 'The sanctuary is near,' she said. 'The map is telling us to look for a special tree.' They searched until they found a giant oak with amber sap glowing on its bark. 11
At the oak tree, Bella saw a tiny opening in the trunk. 'This is it!' she cried. But the opening was covered by a thick spiderweb. 'We can't get through,' said Pip. Bella thought hard. Then she had an idea. 'We can ask the spider for help.' A gentle spider named Silk agreed to move her web. 'I didn't know this was here,' she said. 12
Inside the oak tree, a beautiful clearing opened up. Sunlight streamed through the leaves, and flowers bloomed everywhere. But it was empty. 'Where are the butterflies?' Pip whispered. Bella looked at her wings. The amber markings pulsed again. 'They're coming,' she said. 'The map sent messages to all the colonies.' And soon, butterflies of every color began to arrive. 13
The sanctuary filled with happy, colorful wings. Bella watched as old friends reunited and new friendships formed. Mara's colony joined with others, and Pip danced in the air with joy. Orin arrived, his spectacles glinting. 'You did it, Bella,' he said. 'You paid attention to the message, and it brought everyone together.' Bella smiled, her amber markings glowing warmly. 14
From that day on, the sanctuary was a place of gathering for all butterflies. Bella kept her wing map, and sometimes new amber markings appeared, showing paths to other lost colonies. She always followed them carefully, remembering that important messages deserve attention. And with her friends by her side, she knew no journey was too far.
