Candy Castle is a children's fairy tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN set in a world where sweets and storytelling meet. The story follows its young characters into a castle made of candy, where every room and corridor holds a small wonder and a lesson waiting to be discovered. Rather than relying on loud adventure alone, the tale builds its charm from curiosity, friendship, and the quiet pleasure of exploring a place that seems to exist only in imagination.
Through the journey, readers meet companions who must cooperate, share, and make choices when things do not go as planned. The castle's sugary setting is more than decoration: it gives children a vivid backdrop for thinking about generosity, moderation, and the difference between what looks appealing and what is truly valuable. The language is kept simple and warm, making the book suitable for reading aloud at bedtime as well as for young readers beginning to read on their own.
Candy Castle is intended for children in the early primary years, roughly ages five to nine, and for parents, teachers, and caregivers looking for gentle fairy tales with a clear moral center. It works well as a classroom read-aloud or as a first chapter book, offering a complete story that can be finished in a few sittings and remembered for its sweet, imaginative setting.

A Chapter from the Book
Candy Castle Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN
Emma and Jack were playing in the meadow when a sudden rain shower passed. The sun came out, and a bright rainbow arched across the sky. Emma, with her curly dark hair and skyblue polka-dot dress, pointed. 'Look!' she cried. 'A rainbow!' Jack, in his red striped shirt and backwards blue cap, grinned. 'Let's follow it!' he said, and off they ran, their sneakers squishing on the wet grass. 1
The rainbow led them to a clearing where a magical sight awaited. Before them stood a castle made entirely of sweets! Its walls were smooth chocolate, and its towers were giant cookies with frosting swirls. A river of strawberry milk flowed past the gate, and the air smelled of sugar and joy. Emma's hazel eyes widened. 'It's a candy castle!' she whispered. Jack's green eyes sparkled. 'Awesome!' 2
The castle gate swung open, and out stepped the Candy Queen. Her hair was spun pink sugar, and her gown swirled with pastel frosting. She wore a small candy crown and held a golden sceptre. 'Welcome, little ones,' she said warmly. 'Explore my kingdom, but remember: never eat the golden candies.' Emma nodded seriously, but Jack was already eyeing a bowl of shiny golden sweets nearby. 3
The Candy Queen led them through rooms of lollipop trees and gumdrop flowers. Emma marveled at the chocolate walls and cookie towers. 'This is amazing!' she said. Jack, however, couldn't take his eyes off the golden candies. They glittered on every table. 'Just one little taste,' he thought. 'What harm could it do?' The queen smiled. 'Enjoy yourselves, but heed my warning.' 4
Emma and Jack explored the castle, running from room to room. They slid down a slide made of licorice and jumped on marshmallow beds. Jack's sweet tooth tingled. 'Those golden candies look so good,' he said. Emma shook her head. 'The queen said not to eat them,' she reminded him. But Jack wasn't listening. He reached for a golden candy and popped it into his mouth. 5
At once, a strange thing happened. The chocolate walls began to melt and turn sticky. The cookie towers drooped, and the strawberry milk river slowed to a gooey trickle. 'Oh no!' cried Jack. 'What's happening?' The Candy Queen hurried in, her face worried. 'The golden candies are magical,' she explained. 'Eating one breaks the castle's spell. It's turning into caramel!' 6
Emma looked at Jack, who hung his head. 'I'm sorry,' he whispered. The queen placed a gentle hand on his shoulder. 'We must work together to fix this,' she said. 'Before sunset, you must solve three sweet puzzles. Only then will the castle be restored.' Emma took Jack's hand. 'We can do it,' she said. 'Let's start right away.' 7
The first puzzle was in the chocolate hall. A giant candy lock blocked the way. 'To open it,' said the queen, 'you must arrange the candies by color.' Emma studied the pattern. 'Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple,' she said. Jack helped sort the candies, and with a click, the lock opened. 'One puzzle down!' cheered Emma. The caramel slowed a little. 8
The second puzzle was in the cookie tower. A staircase had turned into sticky caramel. 'You must cross without touching the caramel,' said the queen. Emma spotted stepping stones of hard candy. 'Jump from candy to candy!' she told Jack. They leaped carefully, and the staircase became solid again. 'Two puzzles done!' said Jack, feeling proud. The castle stopped dripping. 9
The third puzzle was in the strawberry milk river. The flow had stopped, and the river was jammed with caramel. 'You must free the river,' said the queen. Emma saw a giant candy valve. 'We need to turn it together,' she said. Jack and Emma pushed and pulled until the valve opened. Strawberry milk rushed through, and the river flowed again. The castle began to shine. 10
As the sun dipped low, the castle glowed with magic. The chocolate walls hardened, the cookie towers stood tall, and the golden candies sparkled safely. The Candy Queen clapped her hands. 'You did it!' she said. 'Your teamwork and quick thinking saved the kingdom.' Jack looked at the golden candies but didn't reach for them. 'I learned my lesson,' he said. 11
The queen hugged them both. 'Self-control and moderation are important,' she said. 'You've shown great courage and kindness.' She gave them each a small bag of ordinary sweets. 'These are for later, to enjoy in moderation.' Emma smiled. 'Thank you,' she said. Jack nodded. 'I'll be more careful,' he promised. The queen waved her sceptre, and a path of light appeared. 12
Emma and Jack walked home under the setting sun, hand in hand. 'That was quite an adventure,' said Emma. 'I'm glad we fixed everything.' Jack grinned. 'Me too. And I'm sorry I ate the candy.' Emma squeezed his hand. 'You helped solve the puzzles,' she said. 'That's what matters.' They promised to remember the queen's warning and to always think before they act. 13
Back home, Emma and Jack told their parents about the candy castle. Their eyes sparkled as they described the chocolate walls and strawberry milk river. 'And the queen taught us about self-control,' said Jack. Their parents smiled. 'That's a valuable lesson,' said Mom. Emma nodded. 'We'll always remember it,' she said. And they did, every time they saw a rainbow. 14
