Emerald Forest is a children's fairy tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN set in a lush, green woodland where the trees, streams, and creatures form a world of their own. The story follows its young characters as they wander into the forest and discover that it holds more than pretty scenery: talking animals, hidden paths, and small mysteries that ask for courage and kindness in equal measure. Along the way, the children learn that listening carefully and treating others fairly often matters more than being the strongest or the loudest.
The book is built around the classic pleasures of the fairy tale form — a vivid setting, a clear quest, and a cast of memorable animal companions — while keeping its language simple enough for young readers to follow on their own or to enjoy when read aloud at bedtime. Each episode offers a small lesson about friendship, trust, and respect for nature, delivered through events in the story rather than stated outright.
Emerald Forest is suited to early and middle-grade readers, roughly ages six to ten, as well as parents, teachers, and storytellers looking for gentle, imaginative tales with a moral centre. Children who enjoy animal stories and woodland adventures will find familiar ground here, and adults reading aloud will appreciate the calm, unhurried pace and the warmth of the storytelling.

A Chapter from the Book
Emerald Forest Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN
Oliver loved exploring the woods near his home. One sunny afternoon, he spotted a giant oak tree with a strange, glowing green door carved into its trunk. The door shimmered like emeralds, and tiny sparkles danced around its edges. Oliver's heart beat fast with curiosity. He took a deep breath and gently pushed the door open. 1
Beyond the door, Oliver gasped. The magic forest was alive! Flowers turned their heads and whispered hello, and a nearby river sang a bubbling tune. But something was wrong. The leaves looked pale, and the river's song was soft and sad. Oliver wondered what had happened to this beautiful place. 2
Suddenly, three tiny fairies zoomed out from behind a mushroom. Pip, with spiky lime-green hair and a glowing lantern, zipped around Oliver's head. Lumi, with long silverwhite hair and a glowing crystal pendant, smiled gently. Bramble, wrapped in an autumn-leaf cloak, leaned on a carved wooden stick. "Welcome, Oliver," said Lumi. "The forest needs your help." 3
Bramble pointed a twig-like finger toward the heart of the forest. "Our Emerald Seed is missing," he said. "Without it, the forest fades." Oliver saw wilted flowers and drooping trees. "We must find the seed," said Pip, flying in excited loops. "Will you come with us?" Oliver nodded. "I'll do whatever I can." 4
Lumi closed her eyes and held her crystal pendant. It glowed softly. "The seed is near the Singing Falls," she said. "But the path is tricky." Bramble tapped his stick on the ground. "We must hurry. The forest grows weaker each hour." Pip's lantern flickered with worry. "Then let's go!" she chirped, leading the way. 5
The group set off through the magic forest. Oliver's boots crunched on fallen leaves, and his canvas backpack bounced as he walked. Pip flew ahead, scouting for clues. "Look!" she called. "Glowing footprints!" Tiny green prints led toward a thicket of brambles. Bramble chuckled. "The seed leaves a trail for those who care." 6
The footprints disappeared at the edge of a muddy stream. "Oh no!" cried Pip. "The trail is gone!" Lumi knelt and touched the water. "The stream remembers," she said. "It says the seed was carried downstream." Oliver spotted a shiny object caught in a root. "Is that a clue?" he asked. Bramble nodded. "A scale from a fish. The seed may be in the river." 7
They followed the stream until they reached a wide, slow river. "The Singing Falls are just beyond," said Lumi. But the river was clogged with fallen branches and litter. "No wonder the forest is fading," said Bramble. "The water cannot flow." Oliver rolled up his sleeves. "Let's clear it!" he said. Together, they pulled branches and picked up trash. 8
As they worked, the river began to sing louder. "La-la-lee!" it burbled. Pip danced in the air. "It's working!" she cheered. Oliver felt happy. "Small acts of care make a big difference," said Bramble wisely. Lumi smiled. "The forest thanks you, Oliver." They continued clearing until the water ran free and clear. 9
At last, they reached the Singing Falls. Water cascaded over mossy rocks, but the sound was weak. "The seed must be here," said Lumi. Pip flew up and gasped. "I see it!" she cried. "Caught behind the waterfall!" Oliver climbed carefully over the slippery rocks. There, in a small pool, lay the Emerald Seed, glowing faintly. 10
Oliver reached out and gently took the seed. It was warm and pulsed with light. "We found it!" he shouted. But as he held it, the seed's glow flickered. "The seed is weak," said Lumi. "It needs to be replanted in the heart of the forest." Bramble nodded. "And we must hurry before the forest fades completely." 11
They raced back through the forest. The trees seemed to lean in, hoping. Pip's lantern lit the way. "Almost there!" she called. When they reached the heart of the forest, they found a bare patch of soil. "Here," said Bramble. "Plant it here." Oliver knelt and dug a small hole with his hands. He placed the Emerald Seed inside and covered it with soil. 12
For a moment, nothing happened. Then a tiny green shoot poked through the soil. It grew and grew, becoming a sapling covered in glowing leaves. Light spread through the forest like ripples on a pond. Flowers lifted their heads, and the river's song grew strong and joyful. "You did it, Oliver!" cheered Pip, hugging him. Bramble smiled. "Nature care brings life." 13
The magic forest was green and joyful again. The fairies threw a celebration with dancing and music. Lumi gave Oliver a tiny acorn. "Plant this at home," she said. "Remember, even the smallest act of kindness protects our world." Oliver promised to care for nature every day. He waved goodbye and stepped back through the glowing door. 14
Back in his own woods, Oliver planted the acorn near the giant oak. He visited it every day, watering it and watching it grow. Soon, a small sapling appeared. Oliver smiled, knowing that the magic forest was safe. He had learned that courage and teamwork can heal even the biggest problems, and that every small act of care matters. 15
Years later, Oliver became a forest ranger, protecting trees and rivers. He often told children about the Emerald Forest and the fairies who became his friends. "Nature is a treasure," he would say. "Care for it, and it will care for you." And somewhere, beyond the glowing green door, the magic forest still sings, thanks to a boy who dared to help.
