Magic Shoes is a children's fairy tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN that follows a pair of enchanted shoes and the child who discovers them. Rather than relying on grand battles or dark villains, the story builds its wonder from a simple everyday object that suddenly behaves in impossible ways. Young readers are drawn into a world where each step can lead somewhere unexpected, and where curiosity is rewarded with adventure rather than danger.
Through the unfolding tale, children encounter themes of kindness, responsibility, and the consequences of choices. The magic in the shoes is not merely a source of fun; it gently asks the characters, and the reader, to think about what they would do with a gift that could take them anywhere. The narrative moves at a pace suited to read-aloud sessions and early independent reading, with clear scenes and memorable moments that invite children to imagine their own versions of the story.
The book is intended for young readers, roughly in the early primary school years, as well as for parents, teachers, and caregivers looking for a warm, imaginative tale to share. It works well as a bedtime story or a classroom read, offering a gentle introduction to fairy tale conventions while keeping the tone light and encouraging a sense of wonder about ordinary things.

A Chapter from the Book
Magic Shoes Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN
Ben was a curious boy with messy brown hair that stuck up at the back. One sunny afternoon, Grandma Rose visited with a special gift. She handed him a pair of bright blue sneakers with silver laces and a tiny moon charm. "These shoes are magic," she whispered. "When you tap your heels three times, they will take you on an adventure. But remember, the best adventures are shared." 1
Ben's eyes grew wide. He hugged Grandma Rose and ran to his room. He put on the shoes and tapped his heels three times. Whoosh! The room spun, and suddenly he was standing on a fluffy cloud. Floating islands drifted all around, with waterfalls that spilled into the sky. Ben laughed as he jumped from cloud to cloud. "This is amazing!" he shouted. 2
On the highest island, Ben found a garden of sparkling flowers that sang soft songs. A friendly bird with rainbow feathers landed on his shoulder. "Welcome, traveler," chirped the bird. "Would you like to see the underwater gardens?" Ben nodded eagerly. He tapped his heels three times, and the cloud island faded. He landed with a splash in a sea of turquoise water, where fish swam through coral castles. 3
The underwater garden was full of colorful fish and swaying plants. Ben could breathe easily, as if the water were air. He chased a school of silver fish and laughed as they tickled his fingers. But when he looked around, he realized he was alone. There was no one to share the wonder with. He tapped his heels three times and went home. 4
The next day, Ben tapped his heels again. This time he landed in a forest made entirely of candy. Lollipop trees stood tall, and gumdrop bushes lined the path. Ben nibbled on a chocolate rock and skipped along a path of licorice. "Mmm, delicious!" he said. But after a while, the sweetness felt a little less fun. He wished he had someone to share it with. 5
Ben visited many more places. He flew on a friendly dragon over a rainbow canyon. He slid down a snowy hill with penguins in a land of ice. Each adventure was exciting, but each time he returned home, he felt a little lonelier. "Adventures are fun," he sighed, "but they would be better with a friend." He thought of his best friend, Mia. 6
One day, Mia came to play. She wore her yellow polka-dot dress and her silver star necklace. They played in the backyard until Mia grew sleepy. "Let's take a nap under the tree," she said. Ben nodded, and soon they were both dreaming. But when Ben woke up, Mia was still asleep, and no matter how he shook her, she wouldn't wake. "Mia!" he cried. 7
Ben remembered Grandma Rose's words: "The shoes can take you anywhere." He put on his magic shoes and tapped his heels three times. "Take me to Mia!" he said. Whoosh! He landed in a strange dream world. Everything was soft and fuzzy, like a cloud. Mia was sitting on a toadstool, looking confused. "Ben?" she whispered. "I'm lost." 8
Ben ran to Mia and took her hand. "Don't worry, I'll get us home," he said. But the dream world was tricky. Paths twisted and turned. Just when Ben thought they were lost, a friendly dream rabbit hopped by. "Follow me!" it said. The rabbit led them through a maze of sleepy flowers. "The magic shoes can only take you home if you both tap your heels three times," the rabbit explained. 9
Ben and Mia sat on a soft dream cloud and tapped their heels three times together. Whoosh! They spun through the air and landed safely in Ben's backyard. Mia hugged Ben tightly. "You rescued me!" she said. "Thank you for being such a good friend." Ben smiled. "I couldn't have done it without you. And now I know that adventures are better when shared." 10
Grandma Rose came to visit the next day. She saw the smiles on Ben and Mia's faces and winked. "I see you've learned the shoes' true power," she said. "Magic is wonderful, but friendship makes it shine." Ben nodded. He looked at Mia. "Want to go on an adventure together?" he asked. Mia's eyes sparkled. "Let's go!" 11
Ben tapped his heels three times, and Mia held his hand. Whoosh! They landed on a floating island with a giant slide. They slid down together, laughing. Then they visited the candy forest and shared a chocolate bar. Every place was more fun with Mia by his side. "This is the best adventure ever!" Ben said. Mia agreed, and they tapped their heels to go home. 12
From that day on, Ben and Mia shared many adventures. They explored twinkling caves and danced with fireflies. They learned that the magic shoes could take them anywhere, but the real magic was their friendship. Grandma Rose smiled as she watched them play. She knew the shoes had found the perfect owner—one who understood that sharing makes everything better. 13
Ben learned that adventures are always more fun with a friend. He and Mia promised to share every adventure together. And whenever they tapped their heels three times, they knew they were never alone. The magic shoes had brought them closer, and their friendship grew stronger with every journey.
