Rainbow Palace is a children's fairy tale by Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN that invites young readers into a world of color, wonder, and gentle adventure. The story centers on a magical palace where each room and corridor seems to glow with a different hue of the rainbow, and where the characters who live there learn that every color carries its own lesson about kindness, courage, and friendship. Rather than relying on frights or grand battles, the tale builds its tension from small choices: whether to share, whether to listen, and whether to help someone who is different.
As the plot unfolds, children are drawn into a journey that rewards curiosity and cooperation. The palace itself acts almost as a character, opening doors for those who ask politely and revealing surprises to those who pay attention. Through the experiences of its young protagonists, the book explores themes of empathy, patience, and the value of seeing the world from another person's point of view. The language is simple and rhythmic, suited to being read aloud at bedtime or enjoyed independently by early readers.
The book is intended for children roughly ages four to nine, as well as for parents, teachers, and storytellers looking for a warm, imaginative tale to share. It works well as a read-aloud in classrooms or as a first chapter book for children gaining confidence in reading. Readers will come away with a sense of delight in color and story, and with a few quiet ideas about how to treat the people around them.

A Chapter from the Book
Rainbow Palace Yavuz DEMİRKIRAN
High above a magnificent waterfall, where mist danced like tiny diamonds, floated the Rainbow Palace. Its seven tall towers sparkled in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. The magical colors glowed so bright that they painted the sky with gentle light. Everyone who saw the palace smiled, for it was the happiest place in the land. 1
In a cozy meadow below the waterfall lived a young fairy named Iris. She had warm light-brown skin, short wavy honeyblonde hair, and large bright green eyes. Her tiny translucent wings sparkled with faint rainbow light, and her sky-blue tunic dress fluttered as she flew. Around her neck hung a small starshaped pendant that glowed near each color. 2
The seven color spirits lived in the towers, each a small round creature of glowing light. Red was bold, Orange was warm, Yellow was cheerful, Green was gentle, Blue was calm, Indigo was wise, and Violet was dreamy. They floated and shimmered, wearing tiny sparkle crowns. For years they lived in harmony, but one day a silly argument began. 3
"I am the most important!" declared Red, puffing out its glowing chest. "I am the color of fire and brave hearts!" "No, I am!" argued Orange. "I bring warmth and joy!" Yellow shouted, "I am sunshine itself!" Green said, "I am the color of growing things!" Blue, Indigo, and Violet all joined in, each insisting on being the best. 4
Their arguing grew louder and louder. The colors refused to shine together, and one by one they began to fade. First Red disappeared, then Orange, then Yellow. The towers turned gray and cold. Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet soon vanished too. The Rainbow Palace lost all its magical colors, and the sky above the waterfall turned dull and sad. 5
Iris flew up to the palace and gasped. "Oh no! What happened to the beautiful colors?" she cried. Grandfather Oak, the ancient tree guardian, sighed. His wrinkled face in the bark looked worried. "The colors argued about who was most important," he explained, "and they disappeared. You must find them, Iris, and remind them of their worth." 6
Iris nodded bravely. "I will bring them back!" she said. Grandfather Oak gave her a gentle smile. "Each color lives in its own kingdom. Follow the path beyond the waterfall. But hurry, for the palace grows grayer every minute." Iris touched her glowing star pendant and set off, her tiny wings sparkling with determination. 7
At the edge of the waterfall, a tall water spirit rose from the mist. Her body was translucent blue-white, flowing like a stream, with a crown of bubbles and a ribbon of mist. "I am the Waterfall Spirit," she said softly. "I will lift you to the color kingdoms. Remember, every color needs the others to shine." Iris climbed onto a gentle wave. 8
The first kingdom was a land of red flowers and warm rocks. Red sat alone, dim and sad. "No one needs me," it whispered. Iris knelt beside it. "Oh, Red, you are the color of courage and love. Without you, hearts would not feel brave. Please come back." Red glowed a little brighter and nodded. "You are right. I am important." 9
Next, Iris visited Orange in a grove of pumpkins and sunsets. Orange was hiding behind a cloud. "I am not as bright as Yellow," it mumbled. Iris smiled. "But you bring warmth and comfort, like a cozy fire. You make the world feel kind." Orange sparkled and agreed to return. Then Yellow, in a field of sunflowers, needed reminding that it brought cheer and hope. 10
Iris traveled to Green's forest, where leaves drooped. "I am just the color of grass," Green sighed. "No," said Iris, "you are the color of life and growth. You make everything fresh and new." Green brightened. Then she found Blue in a quiet lake. "You are calm and peaceful," Iris told it, "and you make the sky endless." Blue shimmered and followed her. 11
Indigo was in a cave of deep twilight. "I am too dark," it said. "No, you are the color of wisdom and dreams," Iris said gently. "You help us think and wonder." Indigo glowed. Finally, Violet floated in a garden of lavender. "I am the last," it whispered. "You are the color of imagination and magic," Iris said. "You make the world mysterious and beautiful." 12
With all seven colors gathered, Iris led them back to the Rainbow Palace. The Waterfall Spirit lifted them high, and Grandfather Oak cheered. "Now shine together!" Iris called. The colors hesitated, then joined hands, each remembering its unique gift. They flowed into the towers, and the palace burst into brilliant light, brighter and more beautiful than ever before. 13
The seven towers gleamed with magical colors, and the waterfall sparkled like a river of gems. The colors laughed and danced, no longer arguing. "We are all important!" they sang. "Together we make the most beautiful light!" Iris's star pendant glowed warmly, and her rainbow wings sparkled with joy. The palace was happy again, and so was everyone who saw it. 14
Grandfather Oak rustled his leafy crown. "You see, little Iris," he said, "differences are not a reason to argue. They are what make the world beautiful." Iris nodded, watching the colors swirl in harmony. The Waterfall Spirit smiled, her silver eyes twinkling.
